The Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports action keeps rolling in, with PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 kicking off on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2025. Now, I’m inviting you to share my love for the greatest esports title of all time with our complete viewer’s guide to PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025.
Let’s discuss everything CS2 fans need to know about PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, from the event’s schedule to teams competing and more.
PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 Format & Schedule
Let’s start with the schedule. The PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 event runs from 14 to 23 February 2025. Yes, it starts on Valentine’s Day, and I might just sneak in a few glances at the opening match streams while having a romantic dinner with Mrs Bigglesworth.

As you can see from the image above, the Playoffs Stage runs from 21 to 23 February 2025. We are assuming the time in the images is in GMT+2 since the tournament takes place in Romania, with the Playoffs at the BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca.
Before we get to the Playoffs, however, 16 teams will compete in a Swiss System Format at the PGL Studio venue in Bucharest for only eight spots in the playoffs. In this stage of competition, all matches are BO3.
The PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 Playoffs features a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are BO3, except for the Grand Final, which promises to be a BO5 slugfest.
Teams Competing At PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025

The image above shows the team list, with one exception. Brazillian side FURIA Esports withdrew from the competition. PGL announced this news on 4 February 2025, as FURIA decided to “prioritize obtaining a U.S. visa for the Major” and thereby withdrew from the event at “the last minute after accepting the invite.” Sounds like people aren’t happy about the situation. In their place is Imperial Fe, the all-female squad.
