How To Get Praying Mantis Pet | Grow A Garden
Initially released with the Grow a Garden Update 1.04.0 (animals) update, the Praying Mantis is a Mythical tier pet for players to hatch. The pet looks quite good. It’s got four small green legs, two big green claws, black square eyes, and even cute little antennas!
To get the Praying Mantis pet, you can use a Bug Egg. There’s a 4% chance of getting the pet after the hatch time of eight (8) hours has passed. You can purchase a Bug Egg from the in-game shop for 50,000,000 Sheckles. There’s a 3% chance the Bug Egg will appear in the shop. You can also save those Sheckles and open your wallet, purchasing a Bug Egg for 149 to 199 Robux.
Every ~80 seconds, the Praying Mantis will pray for ~10 seconds, granting a ~1.5x chance to mutate crops within ~10 studs of the Praying Mantis. This trait applies to already existing plants.
The pet can give any mutation to crops within that 10 stud range. The only exception is developer or special event mutations. Thanks to its rather powerful passive, the Praying Mantis sits comfortably in the A-Tier of our Grow A Garden pets tier list, which you can view in full below.
