Monster Hunter Wilds PC Specs & File Size

As a successor to Monster Hunter World, Capcom’s latest and possibly greatest entry into the iconic franchise, Monster Hunter Wilds, releases on 28 February 2025. While the game will be released on current-gen consoles and PC, the latter will want to know what the requirements for entry are. That’s where the Monster Hunter Wilds PC specs come in.

With a huge open world (Forbidden Lands), dynamic weather, massive creatures, and so many fantastic systems at play, Monster Hunter Wilds looks incredible, to say the least. To find out if your gaming rig is up to the task, let’s take a look at the official minimum and then recommended system requirements for this upcoming ARPG.

MHW Minimum PC Requirements

At a minimum, you must at least have Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit) as an operating system. To run Monster Hunter Wilds at the bare minimum of 30 fps at 1080p (upscaled from 720 native resolution) on the lowest settings, your gaming rig must meet or exceed the requirements below.

  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10400 or Intel® Core™ i3-12100 or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600.
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660(VRAM 6GB) or AMD Radeon™ RX 5500 XT(VRAM 8GB).
  • DirectX: Version 12.

An internet connection is also required, and so is 75 GB of free space.

To run the game at 60 fps (1080p) with Frame Generation enabled and medium settings, your gaming rig must meet the Monster Hunter Wilds PC specs listed below.

  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10400 or Intel® Core™ i3-12100 or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600.
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060 Super(VRAM 8GB) or AMD Radeon™ RX 6600(VRAM 8GB).
  • DirectX: Version 12.

It’s not bad for recommended, but not exactly low either. For a game released in 2025, however, it’s definitely an average ask.

Monster Hunter Wilds PC Specs Require An SSD

This is just a side note, but you must know that Monster Hunter Wilds should be installed on an SSD, so clear some space. It is a requirement, not a suggestion.

At least the game doesn’t require a Ray Tracing graphics card like DOOM The Dark Ages, but it does require quite a solid rig to play at 60 fps at 1080p.
