Despite releasing on 1 April 2025, the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Spring Forward update was not some elaborate prank from Valve. No, the update is very much real, as the iconic developer decided to widen Banana, make several other changes to Inferno, and drop a plethora of content for gamers to sink their teeth into.
First off, the Spring Forward update adds three new weapon collections (Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant) to the Weekly Care Package drop lists, which amounts to over 70 new weapon finishes/skins. To compensate, Valve has removed Bank, Italy, Lake, and Train collections from the Care Package drops.

Speaking of Train, there’s a brand-new Train 2025 Collection case with glorious new skin designs inspired by the map’s graffiti and location. Valve also added a new Fever Case and a Limited Edition shotgun skin, XM1014 | Solitude.
