From developer RedSaw Games Studio and publisher Logoi Games comes Doloc Town, a brand-new pixel-art farming simulator creeping into my heart. The game is, in my opinion, best described as a post-apocalyptic Stardew Valley, with Sci-Fi elements thrown into the mix for good measure.
Since the game’s Early Access release on Steam (8 May 2025), it has already seen some fantastic reviews, sitting at “Very Positive” on Valve’s digital storefront. That’s no surprise, as Doloc Town truly hits that sweet spot.

Players can build their dream farm from scratch in a mysterious wasteland, explore their surroundings, harvest, build, plant, and uncover stories along the way.
It’s clear that PC gamers are already catching on, since it entered Steam’s top 100 sellers list just 24 hours after launch, following a well-received demo.

In a FAQ section on Steam, the developers explained why Doloc Town is in Early Access, stating:
The Early Access version has unfinished main storylines, where we plan to gradually add more during the course of Early Access and finish it once the game hits full release later.

Feature-wise, new systems such as ranching and more in-depth content like automated farming is expected to be added along the way as we go.
I, for one, cannot wait for the full release of Doloc Town. However, it is already a fantastic title to play, especially if you love Stardew Valley but want something a bit different to refresh your farming simulator enthusiasm.
