Rockstar Games has kept Grand Theft Auto 6 fans starving for news since the jaw-dropping first GTA 6 trailer hit on Dec. 4, 2023. Now, whispers of a second possible trailer landing in April 2025 are sending the internet into a frenzy. But is it legit, or just another cruel tease?
According to a respected fan group GTA VI O’Clock, a “credible tip-off” points to early April for Trailer 2. They argue it fits Rockstar’s playbook (think Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2) where major reveals are dropped five to six months before the actual launch.
With GTA 6 eyeing a Fall 2025 release (likely October or November), the timing checks out. Add in a cryptic GTA Online t-shirt code—“04012025” (April 1, 2025)—and fans are convinced it’s a breadcrumb, especially since a similar hint supposedly nailed Trailer 1’s date.
However, it seems not everyone’s sold. Some internet skeptics call the April rumor shaky, considering there’s been no hard evidence from Rockstar Games. Could it be an April Fool’s fakeout? Possibly. Still, the idea of seeing more Vice City neon, Lucia’s next heist, or even her mysterious partner in action has players itching.
What is certain, though, is GTA 6 is coming Fall 2025 (as confirmed by Rockstar and Take-Two). Trailer 1 set the stage with sun-soaked chaos and a Bonnie-and-Clyde vibe—however, it left us hungry for more. If April delivers, you can expect a first real taste of gameplay mechanics.
