Capcom’s Response To Monster Hunter Wilds PC Issues Is Basic

Capcom unleashed Monster Hunter Wilds on console and PC gamers on 28 February 2025, and for the latter, there’s a bit of a problem. At least, for many PC gamers out there, the game’s performance issues are holding them back.

Yes, Monster Hunter Wilds seems to be poorly optimized. At least, that’s what the community believes, based on hundreds of negative reviews on the game’s Steam Page.

While it makes sense that Monster Hunter Wilds cannot run well on the Steam Deck, it appears that many gamers are running into issues despite their gaming rigs being well above the minimum requirements.

Now, some PC gamers have taken further issue with the way Capcom’s support has been handling the apparent performance issues.

Capcom recently posted some fixes and tips for PC gamers to try, via the official Monster Hunter Status handle on X. That has made matters worse, as PC gamers feel the tips are way too basic, akin to “turn it off and back on again.”

When you click on the link and read the support post, you’ll might be left disappointed. That’s unless this is your first time using a gaming PC.

The developer/publisher provides mostly just basic steps that most PC gamers should be aware of, such as checking if your gaming rig meets the Monster Hunter Wilds PC system requirements, reinstalling, updating graphics drivers, and stuff like that.

At the time of writing, Monster Hunter Wilds is still new. The developers continue to push out updates with fixes on PC and consoles. It remains to be seen how long it will take to fix the game’s PC performance issues, but judging by the pace of updates getting pushed out, it might not be too long.
