The massive version 4.4 update has been unleashed in A Univeral Time (AUT), one of my favorite Roblox titles to enjoy while I’m not writing these guides. With the update comes nine characters inspired by Team Fortress 2, which you can unlock by getting the AUT Mercenaries ability/spec.
This is an Epic spec that gives users access to over a dozen abilities from nine characters in total. It’s overpowered if you ask me, and all AUT players will want to unlock it as soon as possible. Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered!
Unlock The Mercenaries In AUT | Roblox
Let’s first get this out of the way. Technically, it’s called “The Mercenaries,” aka the Teufort Nine. The squad consists of nine mercenaries with three classes: Offensive, Defensive, and Support. This allows the player to use a wide range of abilities with ease and completely blow anything out of the water in a way that would make a Pyro proud.

Let’s get to the good part: unlocking The Mercenaries in Roblox A Universal Time.
Finding Skaidev’s Location In AUT
First up, you need to get the quest to unlock The Mercenaries.
Warning: It’s a huge effort to complete the quest, but it is well worth it.
To get the quest in AUT, you must find the location of an NPC called Skaidev. Simply head to the Alabasta area, which is a sandy desert-like region inspired by the One Piece manga/anime. Now, look for the last building on the left side of the zone. Skaidev is waiting for you on the second floor of this structure.
Interact with Skaidev to begin the quest, which tasks you to collect several items and then defeat the Spy Boss.
AUT The Mercenaries Items: How To Collect
Next in your journey to unlock The Mercenaries in AUT, you must find the following seven unique items:
- Grenade Launcher
- Medic’s Equipment
- Rocket Launcher
- Eyelander
- Knife (Wrench)
- Flamethrower
- Chargin’ Targe
To get these items, you must open Chests across the huge open maps of Roblox A Universal Time. I recommend teaming up with some friends to hunt for Chests and trade duplicate items with each other. The best place is Floating Village, but Central Wilds and Alabasta will do as well. Farm in places you feel comfortable with, and watch for Chests to spawn.
The rarest of the AUT The Mercenaries items is definitely The Medic’s Equipment. Don’t give up hope, and keep farming. It’s a marathon, not a sprint!
Defeat The Spy Boss In AUT
Once you have all the items, the last step in The Mercenaries AUT quest is to defeat The Spy boss enemy. To find The Spy, travel to the Floating Village area. He spawns at the left corner of the village next to the waterfall. Initial indications have his spawn timer at 20 minutes.
The Spy in AUT has 13,685 Hitpoints and is level 125. We recommend that if you want to solo The Spy, you be around level 125. Otherwise, group up at level 100 or higher to smash him with ease. Use powerful abilities such as The World to take down The Spy, dealing consistent damage while avoiding its attacks, specifically when he turns invisible and tries to backstab you or one of your friends.
To complete The Mercenaries quest in A Universal Time, you must deal at least 10% of the total damage to The Spy. That’s roughly 1369 damage.
Return To Skaidev
The only thing left to do is return to NPC Skaidev and hand in the items, completing the quest and earning The Mercenaries ability. The only tip I have here is to ensure you have space in your inventory so you can get and activate The Mercenaries once the quest is completed.
Congratulations are in order! You’ve unlocked The Mercenaries in AUT. Now go ahead and dominate, as this is one of the rarest, most versatile, and most powerful Legendary kits available.
