Grow A Garden Weather Types Explained

There are a total of 13 Grow A Garden weather types for players to get used to. Six of them are naturally occurring, and seven are admin types, which are enabled during specific events.

Some Grow A Garden weather types can also cause specific mutations, for example, Bloodlit. Weather can also accelerate crop growth rates and have a bunch of benefits.

Interestingly, all active servers experience the same weather at the exact same time, so if your friend is playing Grow A Garden on another server, you’ll both face thunderstorms, as an example.

Let’s dive in and first take a look at the naturally occurring weather types in Grow A Garden, alongside all their effects:

6 crops become Moonlit per night (once every 40 seconds over 4 minutes).
Placing a Night Staff will increase Moonlit crop yield.
Occurs at the start of every hour and lasts 10 minutes.
Blood MoonGives crops a glowing red hue.
Chance to apply Bloodlit.
Default: 6 crops become Bloodlit per cycle (1 every 40 seconds over 4 minutes).
Placing a Night Staff will increase Bloodlit crop yield.
33.33% chance to replace Night for that cycle.
Lasts 15 minutes.
Both sky and moon turn red.
Meteor ShowerMeteors fall from the sky. Crops hit by meteors gain Celestial mutation.Use Star Caller to direct meteors to crops.
Duration: ~5 minutes.

Now, let’s take a look at the Admin weather types. These require an admin to enable them, and are generally tied to specific events.

DiscoTurns the screen rainbow-colored.
Every second, fruits/crops have a chance to receive the Disco mutation.
Forces characters to dance with 1 of 3 default Roblox dances.
Duration: 1–2 minutes. Soundtrack: Raining Tacos.
Jandel StormSpawns lightning strikes at 4 strikes/second.
A gigantic Jandel entity appears at the start.
Duration: ~1 minute. Soundtrack: Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”.
Sheckle RainTurns the sky yellowish/golden.
Sheckles fall from the sky and can be collected (Avg.: 30 sheckles).
No Mutations are applied to crops.
Chocolate RainFunctions similarly to standard Rain.
Replaces the Wet mutation with the Chocolate mutation for multi-use crops.
Duration: Matches standard rain unless manually altered.
Lazer StormGives the fruits Plasma mutation.A giant Jandel NPC spawns and has laser eyes which shine to random parts of the map, usually focusing on one singular point, rotating in a circle-like pattern.
Also leaves temporary marks on the surface of the map where the laser hit.

Monster MashGiant NPC was shown behind the Pet Shop and Gear Shop with a DJ booth causing effects and forcing player to dance.Made every player dance to the “Monster Mash” emote.
