Your Complete CS2 Guide To BLAST Rivals Season 1

For Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) enjoyers, the BLAST Rivals Season 1 S-Tier LAN event marks the end of the “Spring” season, with eight of the best teams competing for a significant prize pool.

We are quite hyped to watch the event, and we want to share in the excitement. That’s why I’ve thrown together this esports viewer’s guide to BLAST Rivals Season 1, which takes place from 30 April to 4 May at the BLAST Studios venue in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Our BLAST Rivals Season 1 guide includes tournament format and schedule details, alongside the teams competing and how you can watch all the action from the comfort of your own home, so let’s pop a Flash Grenade and strafe in!

BLAST Rivals Season 1 Schedule & Format

It all begins with the Group Stage, which runs from 30 April until 1 May 2025, boasting two days of non-stop CS2 esports action. Teams are competing in two groups of four, where all matches are best-of-three. This is a GSL-style format, where the top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs Stage.

The winners of each group earn a spot directly in the Semifinals of the BLAST Rivals Season 1 Playoffs, while the runners-up earn a High Seed Quarterfinals Spot, and the 3rd-placed teams get Low Seed spots in the Quarterfinals. The bottom teams in each group are eliminated.

From 2 to 4 May 2025, the remaining six teams will compete in the single-elimination Playoffs Stage, where Quarterfinals and Semifinals matches are best-of-three, and the Grand Final is best-of-five.

All Teams At BLAST Rivals Season 1

There are a total of eight teams competing at BLAST Rivals Season 1. These teams have been directly invited based on their standing in Valve’s rankings. Four invites are based on Global VRS, and four “wildcard” invites are based on Regional VRS.

The Groups for the BLAST Rivals Season 1 event have already been drawn. Below, you can check out both Groups and how the teams got invited to the event.

Group A Teams:
  • Team Vitality (Global VRS Invite)
  • MOUZ (Global VRS Invite)
  • paiN Gaming (South America Invite)
  • Wildcard (North America Invite)
Group B Teams:
  • Team Spirit (Global VRS Invite)
  • FaZe Clan (Global VRS Invite)
  • Team Falcons (European Invite)
  • FlyQuest (Asia Invite)

In my opinion, it’s a close race between Team Vitality and Team Falcons for who’s going to lift the trophy, but MOUZ does have a chance at making it to the Grand Finale.

How To Watch BLAST Rivals Season 1

We understand that most CS2 esports fans can’t actually make it to Copenhagen to watch the action live. The next-best thing you can do is watch the live stream with like-minded fans, and if you don’t know anyone else who enjoys CS2, you can watch it alone. Sadness, I know, but that’s how I’m going to do it from 30 April to 4 May 2025.

To watch the action unfold live, you can tune in to the official BLAST Premier Twitch channel or the BLAST Premier YouTube channel. That’s it; you are welcome!
