Mojang Studios has finally announced the Minecraft Live 2025 start date. The annual livestream will air on Saturday, Mar. 22, at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET (in the U.S.) or 5 PM GMT (in the UK and Europe). As usual, the event promises a block-packed showcase of new insights into the future of the beloved sandbox game.
Following the success of last year’s biannual format, Mojang Studios will broadcast this Spring edition on YouTube, Twitch, and minecraft.net. That way, everybody can catch the latest developments firsthand! What’s more, Minecraft Live 2025 comes just two weeks before the theatrical release of A Minecraft Movie on Apr 4.
Expect Top Secret Insights & Drop Content
The official A Minecraft Movie movie description reads: “A mysterious portal pulls four misfits into the Overworld, a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master the terrain while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected crafter named Steve.”
Fans can expect Minecraft Live 2025 to feature exclusive movie-related content, like behind-the-scenes clips with Jack Black and Jason Momoa. With the film’s debut looming, Mojang is likely to blend cinematic hype with in-game surprises, making this a must-watch for both gamers and movie buffs.

Beyond the silver screen tie-in, Mojang has also teased “never-before-seen game drops” and “top-secret insights” straight from their Stockholm HQ. This could mean new biomes, mobs, or gameplay mechanics, continuing the studio’s shift toward smaller and more frequent updates.
Think that’s all? You’d be sorely mistaken! There’s also buzz around a possible announcement for Project Spicewood, a rumored Minecraft Dungeons sequel (though Mojang remains tight-lipped). Oh—and The Deep Dig starts immediately after the main show, featuring playthroughs of the new drop.
Minecraft Live 2025 will premiere on Mar. 22 at 1 PM ET on YouTube, Twitch, and minecraft.net. In other news, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set to release on Jun. 25.
