It might surprise you, but getting the Brick Built Rod in Fisch is actually pretty simple. While it won’t match the raw power of rods like the Seraphic or Trident, it’s one of the most important tools you’ll need to complete the limited-time LEGO® Event and reel in all the LEGO-themed fish scattered across the seas!
In this guide, I’ll break down exactly how to unlock it, why it’s so important, and what makes it stand out from your everyday fishing gear.
How To Unlock The Brick Built Rod In Fisch
To get the Brick Built Rod in Fisch, you’ll need to start the LEGO® Event Quest by visiting an NPC named Brickford Masterson in Moosewood. His exact coordinates are X: 412, Y: 137, Z: 365 (he’s pretty easy to find if you’re looking around).
Once you talk to Brickford, he’ll tell you that 16 special LEGO® fish have escaped. He’ll also give you the Brick Built Rod to help you recover them. After you accept his quest, the fishing rod will automatically be added to your inventory. It’s that simple.

Note: You must have the Brick Built Rod equipped if you want to catch any LEGO® Event fish, including special rarities like the Studolodon in Fisch. Regular rods won’t work for this event-specific fishing.
Is The Brick Built Rod Worth It In Fisch?
Absolutely! While the stats are nothing to brag about, it has a passive effect that gives it a 5% chance to reel in fish with the LEGO Mutation (3x value multiplier). It’s also vital to complete Brickford Masterson’s bestiary and unlock the Arctic Explorer Boat—plus it’s free!
Here’s a look at its stats:
- Lure Speed: +15%
- Luck: +80%
- Resilience: +10%
- Control: 0.1 (25% control boost)
- Max Kg: 200kg
Although it’s mainly meant for the LEGO event, you can boost its stats by equipping Enchants like Hasty (to offset its slower lure speed) or Controlled (to make tricky fish easier to reel in).
