Apart from the three big Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports LAN events (PGL Bucharest, IEM Melbourne, and BLAST Rivals S1) kicking off in April, there’s also a rather significant online event: YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025.

YaLLa Compass Qatar Format & Schedule
Technically speaking, YaLLa Compass Qatar isn’t an S-Tier event, as it falls squarely under the A-Tier category. It’s also an online event, moved from LAN to “ensure competitive integrity and long-term stability.
The tournament runs from 16 to 19 April 2025, featuring two stages of competition. First up, we’ve got the Group Stage, where teams compete in two Round-Robin format groups. Each group has six teams, all matches are BO1, and each team plays each other once.
The top three teams from each group advance to the single-elimination bracket format playoffs, where all matches are BO3.

There are 12 teams competing at YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025. Six of the teams were directly invited based on their standings on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) global leaderboards, and six made their way through the closed qualifiers.
