Need a hand finding Blue Whales during the Whale Migration in Fisch? I’m not surprised. While these marine creatures are by no means tough to spot, many players aren’t too sure where to start looking. And that’s for a good reason: they spawn randomly—but only during special weather conditions.
This guide will explain everything you need to know about the Whale Migration event in Fisch, including their starting locations and the preferred baits to catch Blue Whales and Moby (part of Captain Ahab’s quest) in the game.

Where Is The Whale Migration Location In Fisch?
Whale Migrations are rare, time-limited events in Fisch that let you catch Blue Whales. Like the Orca Hunts, there isn’t a single fixed location—instead, the event follows a fixed path, usually starting near Sunstone Island (XYZ: -935, 130, -1105), Ancient Isle (XYZ: 5761, 131, 940), or the Statue of Sovereignty (XYZ: 44, 132, -1013).
The Whale Migration has a 20% chance of happening when it’s raining. This means you can increase your odds of it occurring by using Sundial Totems (purchasable for 2,000 C$ on Sunstone Island) and Tempest Totems (purchasable for 2,000 C$ on Terrapin Island) to trigger rain.
Once it starts, a server-wide announcement will read: “Whale Migration Has Begun,” at which point 3-5 Blue Whales will spawn. To reach them, follow the blue directional arrows in the water using your fastest boat. You’ll have 15 minutes (or until all the Blue Whales are caught) to catch one—so act quickly!

How To Catch Blue Whale In Fisch Whale Migration
The best way to catch a Blue Whale is to use a high-quality fishing rod like the Heaven’s Rod or Seraphic Rod. Why? As you might imagine, these marine creatures are super heavy (I’m talking 200,000kg average size), so you’ll need a durable rod to haul them in. They also have a -90% progress speed penalty, further complicating your catch.
To maximize your odds of catching a Blue Whale (or its Secret Fish variant Moby), you should use the preferred bait during the right conditions. The table below outlines exactly which bait you should use—as well as what weather, time, and season is the best to catch Blue Whales in Fisch.
Fish | Rarity | Bait | Weather | Time | Season |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Blue Whale | Exotic | Shrimp | Rain | Any time | Summer |
Moby | Secret | Squid | Rain | Any time | Summer |

Note: Moby has a 5% chance to appear during a Whale Migration event in Fisch. It also has a -95% progress speed penalty, making it a far tougher catch than Blue Whales.
